Welcome to lgbradshaw

I’m not going to bore you with all the minutiae of my life since birth.  I’ll just hit some of the high points: went to college, served in the United States Army, became a cop, got married, had two wonderful sons, got divorced and then decided that I wasn’t really doing what I wanted.  Divorce will do that to you: make you reevaluate everything about who you are, and what you want out of life.

Sure, law enforcement is a noble profession but it’s not who I am.  I’m a writer.  For me, being a cop was more about the security of a regular paycheck and the pension-light at the end of the career-tunnel.  But you know, there’s more to life than security.  Sometimes, you have to risk it all in order to win big.  And that’s what I’m finally doing.

Life is too short to be mired in a career that slowly kills you inside and stifles who you really are.  Hopefully, all of you reading this realize that before I did.  Follow your dreams, no matter the cost.  Unless you believe in reincarnation, this is the only physical existence you have.  (For those of you who do believe in reincarnation, I would suggest that you also live life to the fullest.  Who knows, in your next life you may come back as a lowly grasshopper, three legged dog or a flea on the ass of some baboon in Africa.)

Anyway, welcome to my world.  I think you’re going to like it.

welcome to my world

Dot to Dot is a literary relay race orbiting around one central theme: we are all connected. These connections may be seemingly insignificant - bumping into an old friend n the street or passing a stranger in a hospital corridor - but they have the potential to alter the course of our lives, some slightly, others in more profound ways.
